Cheongsong County, North Gyeongsang Province, held an emergency wildfire response executive meeting on the 24th, following the weekend, to establish countermeasures for wildfire prevention and to prevent further damage.
Cheongsong County has urgently deployed 50 personnel, 1 helicopter, and 2 firefighting vehicles to the affected area to support firefighting efforts, mobilizing all available resources to prevent the spread of the wildfire.
Additionally, to prevent and contain future wildfires, the county plans to conduct continuous monitoring using drones in the border areas of Pacheon-myeon and Andeok-myeon to regularly check for any wildfire occurrences within the region.
Furthermore, all available personnel, including the specialized wildfire prevention and suppression team, will remain on emergency standby. In the event of wildfire risk within the area, disaster alert messages will be sent immediately, and residents in vulnerable areas will be evacuated as a priority.
In particular, if a wildfire occurs, the county plans to mobilize all available personnel to establish a rapid response system to minimize damage.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "We are making every effort to prevent wildfires at this time, and we will do our best to minimize damage through continuous monitoring and prompt action."
