Dong-A University Holds 70th Regular Dong-A Business Forum

Choi Kyuhwan, Dean of the Graduate School of Business, and Kang Seho, Forum President, Attend
Special Constitutional Lecture by Honorary Professor Jung Manhee of Dong-A Law School

Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 24th that the Dong-A Business Forum, a corporation composed of alumni entrepreneurs and others (President Kang Seho, CEO of FT Marine), held its 70th regular forum.

The forum, held at the Lotte Hotel in Seomyeon, Busan on the 21st, was attended by President Kang Seho, Senior Vice President Heo Dongyun, Vice Presidents So Sunmin, Jeon Jongseop, Lee Honggyu, Park Dongjin, Kim Youngin, Lim Seokhwan, forum members, and about 60 Dong-A University officials including Graduate School of Business Dean Choi Kyuhwan.

President Kang Seho said, "As the long-awaited spring arrives, I also hope the current turbulent political situation stabilizes soon. I hope today's special lecture by the renowned legal scholar, Honorary Professor Jung Manhee, will help clarify the difficult issues we face in this era. I wish everyone a meaningful time listening to this excellent lecture, and hope it will also be an opportunity for new members to feel more at ease."

Choi Kyuhwan, Dean of the Dong-A University Graduate School of Business, said, "I ask for your continued interest so that this forum can become a place where Dong-A University alumni exchange information and share wisdom that can drive corporate innovation and change. In an era where the remarkable advancement of artificial intelligence is deeply involved not only in industry but also in our daily lives, I hope our forum, which upholds the value of pursuing technology and corporate management for people and society, can serve as a bridge."

At the forum, a special lecture by Dong-A University Law School (Graduate School of Law) Honorary Professor Jung Manhee, titled "Problems of the 1987 Constitution and Constitutional Amendment on the Structure of Power," attracted much attention.

Honorary Professor Jung Manhee emphasized, "By realizing constitutional amendments on the structure of power, we must overcome the constitutional operational problems caused by concentration of power, escape inefficient and wasteful state administration, enhance the rational capacity for governance, and contribute to social integration by reorganizing the national system. Ultimately, unless the political community and all citizens launch a movement to boldly eradicate the old political culture and climate, constitutional reform cannot succeed."

Launched in 2011, the Dong-A Business Forum, centered around Dong-A University alumni entrepreneurs, became a corporation in 2017 and has grown into a leading business organization in the southeastern region. It is dedicated to developing the competencies of CEOs and organizational leaders, contributing to local community development, and promoting industry-academia cooperation projects.
