A Pledge for the Advancement of Local Sports
The Sports Association of Seondan-dong, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 24th that it held the 4th and 5th president inauguration and retirement ceremony on the 20th at the auditorium on the 3rd floor of the Seondan-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

This event was organized to honor the efforts of former president Lee Jeong-jin, who dedicated himself to the development of local sports, and to celebrate the inauguration of the new president Kim Jeong-hwan.
The event was attended by about 80 people, including Baek Young-hyun, mayor of Pocheon, Im Jong-hoon, chairman of the Pocheon City Council, city council members Yeon Je-chang, Son Se-hwa, Seo Gwa-seok, Jo Jin-suk, presidents of sports associations from each eup, myeon, and dong, Seondan-dong sports association members and community leaders, as well as heads of local institutions and organizations. The inauguration and retirement ceremony proceeded with the presentation of plaques of appreciation and awards, congratulatory speeches, and commemorative photos.
Retiring president Lee Jeong-jin said, “I thank everyone who has been with me so far. I will continue to support the development of the Seondan-dong Sports Association.” Newly appointed president Kim Jeong-hwan expressed his aspirations, saying, “I extend my gratitude to President Lee Jeong-jin for his hard work. I will do my best to promote the health of Seondan-dong residents and revitalize sports.”
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Baek Young-hyun said, “I would like to thank President Lee Jeong-jin for leading the Seondan-dong Sports Association for over ten years. I support the strong start of newly inaugurated President Kim Jeong-hwan.”
Meanwhile, the Seondan-dong Sports Association plans to donate the rice received instead of wreaths at the inauguration and retirement ceremony to neighbors in need within the community.
