First K-Swiss Relaunch in Korea at Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch
Lineup Includes Running Shoes, Tennis Shoes, and Functional Apparel
The popular sports brand K-Swiss has reappeared in Busan. After withdrawing from the Korean market in 2022, the brand has relaunched after three years, making its first step in Busan.
K-Swiss was founded in 1966 in Los Angeles, California, as the first leather tennis shoe, and has since secured a top market share in the American tennis shoe industry. It is known as a comprehensive sports brand with authenticity, functionality, and heritage in its products.
The foothold for re-entering the Korean market has been established on the 5th floor sports section of Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch. To coincide with the peak running season, K-Swiss is unveiling a wide range of new products, including the urban running shoe Koneo (meaning "rabbit" in Spanish), the McLaren collaboration shoes, tennis shoes, and a high-performance apparel line.
The footwear lineup is divided into performance and lifestyle categories. The performance lineup focuses on specialized court shoes for tennis, padel, and pickleball, while the lifestyle lineup includes sneakers and urban running shoes, aiming to appeal to a broad range of consumers.
The apparel is divided into five lines: "Infinity," "K-Weiss," "Club," "Court," and "Khypro." The categories include the premium, high-functionality "Infinity" line, the urban outdoor functional apparel "K-Weiss," the lifestyle-oriented "Club" line, and the tennis-specialized "Court" line.
To celebrate the new store opening, the department store has prepared a variety of promotional events. Until the end of this month, all customers will receive a "K-Swiss X Molly Artist Collaboration Sticker" with any purchase. Customers who spend over 100,000 won will receive "Donut Vinyl Shop Collaboration Socks," those who spend over 150,000 won will receive a "Classic 66 Short-Sleeve T-shirt," and those who spend over 200,000 won will be given a limited edition "K-Swiss Rug."
Kim Sangheon, Head of the Men's Sports Team at Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch, said, "K-Swiss is making its return after three years, and Busan is the first location nationwide to showcase the brand. We hope customers will experience the diverse performances of this sports-specialized brand with tennis in its DNA."
