Suspect to Be Identified Through CCTV and Other Analyses
The National Forensic Service (NFS) plans to conduct a detailed analysis of the eggs used in the 'egg-throwing at a member of the National Assembly' incident to identify the suspect.

On the 21st, the Jongno Police Station in Seoul announced that they have requested a detailed forensic examination of the eggs and bottled water used in the crime from the NFS to identify the suspect related to the egg-throwing incident that occurred the previous morning. The police are also simultaneously analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and verifying the purchasers of the items.
Earlier, the day before, Baek Hye-ryun, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea who held a press conference in favor of impeaching President Yoon Seok-yeol in front of the Constitutional Court in Jongno-gu, Seoul, was hit by a raw egg. Immediately after the incident, Representative Baek filed a complaint with the Jongno Police Station. Subsequently, the police formed a dedicated investigation team and began the investigation.
Meanwhile, on the same day in front of the Constitutional Court, an incident occurred where Lee Jae-jung, another Democratic Party member, was assaulted by a citizen. Around 6 p.m., while passing in front of the Constitutional Court, Representative Lee reported that a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, kicked his right thigh. The police arrived at the scene within 10 minutes after the report and identified Mr. A. However, Representative Lee’s side has not yet filed a formal complaint against Mr. A.
