According to the agreement, the results of the “Koryoin Historical Artifact Digital Archiving Project” currently being carried out by Gwangsan-gu will be made accessible to everyone through the National Assembly Library. Gwangsan-gu also plans to establish a “Cyber Exhibition Hall” to digitize all artifacts and make them available online within this year.

With this agreement, the two institutions have also decided to cooperate in the joint utilization of digital information resources and the promotion of academic research, education, and cultural programs related to Koryoin history.
The National Assembly Library has installed a computer for electronic library access in the resident communication room on the first floor of the Culture Center, allowing all visitors to view original materials. It also donated 350 books to small libraries in the Wolgok 1-dong and 2-dong areas.
Park Byungkyu, the head of Gwangsan-gu, stated, “I hope that the agreement between the Koryoin Culture Center, the only exhibition hall dedicated to Koryoin historical artifacts in Korea, and the National Assembly Library will serve as an opportunity to widely promote the value of Koryoin historical records,” adding, “We will also successfully complete the Cyber Exhibition Hall project.”
Meanwhile, the Wolgok Koryoin Culture Center, which opened in 2021, houses more than 12,000 Koryoin-related historical artifacts. Of these, about 9,000 are records such as handwritten manuscripts, and 23 mother tongue cultural and artistic records were designated as National Records No. 13 in 2020.
