POSCO PR Tech Employee Found Unconscious During Rolling Process Maintenance
Transported to Hospital but Pronounced Dead
A subcontractor employee in his 40s who was repairing equipment at POSCO Pohang Steelworks died during work.

According to POSCO on the 21st, Mr. A, an employee of POSCO PR Tech who was performing maintenance work at the stainless steel plant of POSCO Pohang Steelworks located in Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongbuk, was found unconscious at the site that morning. Mr. A was transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately passed away.
POSCO PR Tech is a subsidiary established in 2023 responsible for POSCO's maintenance division. It handles maintenance for some equipment in POSCO's rolling process.
The police are investigating the exact cause of Mr. A's death.
