Up to 80% support for testing, certification, and evaluation costs
Hongseong County in Chungnam Province announced on the 21st that it will implement a support program for testing, certification, and evaluation costs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located within the county as a new policy project from April to the end of November this year, spanning eight months.
This project is being promoted starting this year through a consignment agreement with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority for the "SME New Product Development Certification Cost Support Project."
The county expects that by providing customized technical support to local SMEs, shortening development periods, reducing costs, and strengthening technological capabilities, it will help companies secure competitiveness and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
Eligible companies are SMEs with headquarters, research centers, or factories in Hongseong County. Selected companies will receive support for up to 80% of testing, certification, and evaluation costs, with a limit of 3 million KRW per item.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis starting from the 25th until the allocated budget is exhausted.
Lee Yongrok, Governor of Hongseong County, said, "We will do our best to ensure that local SMEs can secure product reliability and quality competitiveness with the support provided by this project."
