Researchers from Sogang University and Yale University in the United States have established the 'Korean Economy Big Data Research Center' to promote academic exchange and joint research.
According to Sogang University on the 22nd, the opening ceremony and research agreement ceremony of the research center were held on the 19th.
Through the agreement, the two institutions decided to pursue continuous academic exchange and joint research.
Park Jeong-su, director of the Korean Economy Big Data Research Center, said, "This cooperation signifies a joint commitment to creating research development and valuable insights beyond a simple agreement," adding, "We expect innovative ideas to emerge through collaboration between the faculty of Sogang University and Yale University."
Professor Kostas Akolakis said, "I am grateful to those who worked behind the scenes for this cooperation, and we will create meaningful outcomes through academic exchange and joint research projects."
Professor Kostas Akolakis is a world-renowned scholar in international trade and macroeconomics and earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota, USA.
