Incheon Namdong-gu Creates Barefoot Walking Trail at Sorae Waterfront... Opening in July

A walking trail where you can walk barefoot while overlooking the Sorae Sea will be created.

Namdong-gu, Incheon, recently held the final report meeting for the detailed design service of the Sorae waterfront barefoot walking trail project within Haerum Park in Nonhyeon-dong (around Nonhyeon-dong 775), the office announced on the 21st.

The barefoot walking trail will be 2 meters wide and 150 meters long in total, made with loess and sand soil, and some sections will be covered with 1cm diameter loess balls to provide a foot acupressure experience. Convenience facilities such as a foot washing station where visitors can wash their feet after the experience, shoe racks, information boards, and benches will also be installed.

The trail construction will be carried out in the first half of this year and is scheduled to open to the public in July. At this report meeting, detailed design aspects were finalized, and citizen safety measures in preparation for the construction were discussed.

Park Jonghyo, Mayor of Namdong-gu, said, "I hope the barefoot walking trail will become an attraction that draws interest not only from tourists visiting Sorae Port but also from existing visitors to Haerum Park."
