During this visit, Sambo Motors presented its global strategy, future vehicle parts technology, and its vision for sustainable industrial development in the smart mobility sector. In particular, focusing on Sweden’s globally leading eco-friendly technology and cultural content industry, the company proposed cooperation measures to build a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
The Swedish delegation toured Sambo Motors’ Daegu production facilities and technology research center, showing keen interest in the advanced manufacturing processes and quality management systems. In particular, with regard to Sambo Motors’ ongoing eco-friendly vehicle parts production and European market expansion strategy, they discussed the possibility of future collaboration with Swedish companies and research institutes.
As part of these exchanges, Sambo Motors, as the Honorary Consulate of Sweden, has hosted the "Swedish Film Festival" to introduce the diversity and value of Swedish culture to the local community. President Lee Yugyeong stated, “By introducing a variety of Swedish films and sharing the society, culture, and diverse values pursued by Sweden through the Swedish Film Festival, we will do our best to foster mutual understanding and empathy between Korea and Sweden.”
Sambo Motors plans to continue such cultural cooperation and, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy, will host the "2025 Swedish Film Festival" this November. Through this, it is expected to contribute not only to cultural communication with the local community but also to the promotion of friendly relations between the two countries.
This visit holds great significance as it served as a catalyst for expanding cultural and industrial exchanges between Sweden and the Daegu region, going beyond a simple corporate tour. A Sambo Motors official stated, “Through this ambassador’s visit, we plan to establish a continuous and practical foundation for cooperation with Sweden, and further use this as an opportunity to strengthen Sambo Motors’ global competitiveness.”
Meanwhile, Sambo Motors is preparing to leap forward as a “global company creating new value” through VISION 2025 and will continue to expand strategic cooperation with various countries and global companies in the future.
