Damyang County Recruiting Teams for 'Jeonnam-style Youth Community Project'

Applications accepted until the 18th of next month... Five teams to be selected this year

Damyang County in Jeonnam announced on the 21st that it is recruiting teams to participate in the 'Jeonnam-style Youth Community Revitalization Project' until the 18th of next month, in order to encourage young people to settle in the region and foster them as key players in local community activities.

The 'Jeonnam-style Youth Community Revitalization Project' is open to any team or corporation/organization consisting of five or more young people (aged 19 to 49) who are interested in activating youth networks. However, at least 60% of team members must reside in Damyang.

The county plans to select five teams this year, and each selected youth community will receive 6 million KRW per team as project execution funds. Supported activity areas include: ▲ boosting local vitality through regional events and program operations ▲ research and surveys between the community and youth to activate the local society ▲ contributing to the local community and promoting settlement ▲ communication and exchange with local youth, among others.

The five selected teams will carry out their projects according to their plans for seven months starting in May, and will play a role in building a vibrant youth network in the region through benchmarking outstanding youth communities and participating in capacity-building education.

A county official said, “Through this project, we expect young people to actively participate, inject vitality into the region, communicate, and grow in various fields.”
