DongSung Pharmaceutical (CEO Na Won-gyun) announced that it conducted a 'Dangbaksa Day' volunteer activity at the Huindol Comprehensive Welfare Center in Goyang City on the 20th.
This event was held for the second time following January, with DongSung Pharmaceutical's executive volunteer team, including CEO Na Won-gyun, participating to provide warm meals to the elderly using the welfare center.
The participating employees added meaning to the volunteer work by showing careful consideration, such as personally serving meals to the elderly.
'Dangbaksa Day' is a volunteer event where meals prepared with 'Dangbaksa Rice' are provided.
Dangbaksa Rice, which holds a patent for 'functional rice that suppresses blood sugar rise through insulin activation,' is rice designed for the health of elderly people who require strict blood sugar management. High interest in the product was also observed among the elderly who received the meals that day.
After the meal, the event concluded with the distribution of small gifts prepared by DongSung Pharmaceutical.
CEO Na Won-gyun, who participated that day, stated, "The prevalence of diabetes among the elderly population is very high, and the risk of various complications is also significant, so systematic nutritional management is essential. I felt rewarded to be able to offer healthy meals to the elderly. We will continue activities to promote community health."
Meanwhile, DongSung Pharmaceutical is making a significant impact in the blood sugar management food market, having surpassed 3,000 pharmacies and signed supply contracts worth 7.8 billion KRW within three months of launching Dangbaksa Rice.
