Mokpo National University Museum Gallery Calls for Exhibition Artists and Groups

Partnership with the Cultural and Artistic Community as a Regional Hub University

The National Mokpo University Museum (President: Song Hacheol) announced on the 21st that it is accepting applications from artists and groups for the 1st GLOCART-M (Global+Local+Art) Exhibition for the 2025 academic year.

This open call follows the university's designation as a Glocal University, which was announced at last year's College of Culture and Arts inauguration ceremony. As a regional hub university, the initiative aims to strengthen partnerships with the cultural and artistic community and provide opportunities for both university members and local residents to experience glocal culture and art.

To participate, applicants must fill out and submit an application form on the National Mokpo University website. Selections will be made through a review process. Applications are open until the 9th of next month, and the results will be announced at the end of the same month. Selected artists and groups will be given benefits such as free use of the exhibition space, leaflet production, and exhibition promotion. The exhibition will be held at the National Mokpo University Museum Gallery 'Myum' from September 4 to December 17.

Lee Heonjong, Director of the Museum, said, "The National Mokpo University Museum organizes and shares a variety of exhibitions with local residents every year, including the Namdo Artist Invitational Exhibition, Namdo Academic Exchange Special Exhibition, Graduation Exhibition, Lee Jongneung Ceramic Exhibition, and Photography Exhibition. In particular, we hope to see active participation from local artists and groups in the 1st GLOCART-M Exhibition so that everyone can experience glocal culture and art."
