KB Securities announced on the 21st that it held a business agreement ceremony with the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 18th regarding the creation project of the '2025 Seoul International Garden Expo Corporate Accompanying Garden.'
The business agreement ceremony took place at the Seosomun 2 Office Building in Jung-gu, Seoul, with the attendance of KB Securities’ Kang Jin-du, Head of the Management Planning Group, Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Lee Soo-yeon, Director of the Garden City Bureau, and Yoo Hye-mi, Head of the Landscaping Division, among other officials, to ensure the successful hosting of the 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo Corporate Accompanying Garden.
As part of its eco-friendly social contribution projects, KB Securities is participating for the second consecutive year in the Corporate Accompanying Garden, following last year’s project at Ttukseom Hangang Park, to provide urban citizens with resting spaces and to promote urban environmental regeneration.
The Seoul International Garden Expo is a flagship project of Seoul aiming for a 'Garden City, Seoul,' serving as a garden festival where citizens, corporations, and various organizations participate together. Urban greening is becoming a global policy trend to enhance urban sustainability and address climate crises, environmental issues, and social problems.
This year’s expo will open on May 22 at Boramae Park, a major hub park in the southwestern area of Seoul, and run until October 20.
KB Securities will create the 'Kkaebi Garden with KB Securities,' reflecting the company’s values and brand. From the entrance, visitors will follow golden coins leading up gradually to stairs and a hilltop, where they can view a yellow garden symbolizing KB Securities’ message of pursuing 'happiness for all.' Additionally, a seating stone shaped with the word 'Kkaebi' and a gift box-shaped structure will be installed at the hilltop to provide visitors with a comfortable resting place.
The Kkaebi Garden with KB Securities to be created this time will not be a temporary garden but a permanent garden, continuously maintained and managed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government even after the Seoul International Garden Expo.
Furthermore, KB Securities will operate a promotional booth for the Kkaebi Garden from May 22 to 25, the opening days, offering various events for visitors.
Kang Jin-du, Head of the Management Planning Group at KB Securities, stated, "KB Securities continuously conducts eco-friendly themed social contribution projects that can coexist with our society, such as the Corporate Accompanying Garden. Going forward, we will practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management that contributes to sustainable environmental creation and community development, expanding various social contribution activities that many members of our society can empathize with and participate in."
