Ranked No. 1 in Kimchi, Gochujang, Doenjang, and Pasta Sauce Categories
Daesang announced on the 21st that it ranked first in four categories?Kimchi, Gochujang, Doenjang, and Pasta Sauce?at the '2025 12th Korea Industry Purchase Assurance Index (KPEI)' organized by the Korea Marketing Association and Consumer Evaluation.
The 'Korea Industry Purchase Assurance Index' is an indicator that comprehensively measures the trust and satisfaction consumers feel when purchasing products or services. Since 2014, the Korea Marketing Association has conducted and announced this survey annually. This year, first-place brands were selected from a total of 73 industry groups and 289 brands.
Daesang's 'Jongga' scored 825 out of 1000 points in the Kimchi category, securing first place for two consecutive years. It is interpreted that consumer trust was gained through the use of 100% domestically grown agricultural products, acquisition of the Food Safety Management Certification (HACCP) for quality and hygiene control, research and development of kimchi lactic acid bacteria, and lineup strengthening.
'Chung Jung One Sunchang' Gochujang and Doenjang each took first place for 12 and 10 consecutive years, respectively. They received high scores of 836 and 824 out of 1000 points. These scores are 162 and 150 points higher than the consumer goods average score of 674, respectively. Chung Jung One developed the 'Jar Principle New Fermentation Method,' which utilizes the breathing principle of jars for gochujang fermentation and aging, and applied the 'Solar Principle Sterilization Method,' which uses sunlight sterilization.
'Chung Jung One Pasta Sauce' was also selected as the first-place winner in the Purchase Assurance Index for the first time. It received high praise for its recipe tailored to Korean tastes and carefully selected ingredients, allowing consumers to easily recreate the taste of a professional chef at home.
