On the 22nd, Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 21st that it will launch a travel package exploring the Arctic, a bucket list destination for travelers worldwide, via cruise.
Lotte Homeshopping has collaborated with Chamjoeun Travel for about a year to exclusively offer the Arctic travel package, departing only twice this year (May 17 and June 7). The 13-day itinerary involves exploring the Arctic's representative tourist spots aboard a polar expedition ship equipped with rooms and a spa.
The journey starts from 'Longyearbyen,' the gateway to Arctic tourism, and visits places such as 'Magdalena Fjord,' where you can see polar bears and minke whales, 'Ice Edge,' the boundary where glaciers meet the sea, and 'Ny-?lesund,' the northernmost research station. A polar region expert guide accompanies the trip, and activities such as 'Zodiac Landing,' where travelers land directly on islands by boat to explore, are also included. Benefits such as round-trip business class airfare and travel insurance coverage worth up to 300 million KRW are provided. The price ranges from 16 to 18 million KRW.
Lotte Homeshopping is strengthening its premium long-distance travel offerings to meet diverse overseas travel demands. Introducing differentiated destinations such as Iceland, Egypt, and South America, it has expanded sales of long-distance travel packages by an average of over 50% annually over the past three years (2022?2024).
A Lotte Homeshopping representative stated, "We plan to continue offering mid- to long-distance premium packages focusing on unique destinations such as Northern Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia."
