Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office Veterans Support Center Holds Meeting with Busan Veterans Association

The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director: Lee Namil) Veterans Support Center held a meeting on the 20th at the Baek Jaedeok Room with the Busan Metropolitan City Chapter of the Korea Veterans Association to discuss support for the career transition of discharged soldiers.

The meeting was attended by Cho Byeonggwang, Head of Organization at the Busan Veterans Association, as well as secretaries-general from each district and county veterans association, totaling 13 participants.

The Veterans Support Center provided information on the support system for discharged soldiers and introduced various activities carried out by the center to assist their employment. The center also requested that members of the veterans association who have not yet joined the center help promote its services.

The veterans association stated, "The Veterans Support Center is a great source of support for discharged soldiers who have served mid- to long-term. We hope that it will be widely promoted to those preparing for discharge so that they can receive much help in planning their lives after military service."

The Veterans Support Center, which has been established and is operating in 10 locations nationwide, provides a range of employment and entrepreneurship support services for discharged soldiers who have served for five years or more. These services include one-on-one career counseling, job information, education and training subsidies, and career transition support payments.
