General Strike Planned Every Thursday
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) announced on the 20th that it will launch a general strike if the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) does not set a date for the impeachment ruling of President Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the same day, the KCTU held a press conference at its education center in Jung-gu, Seoul, stating that if the ConCourt does not schedule the impeachment ruling for President Yoon, it will hold a general strike on the 27th and continue striking every Thursday thereafter.
Yang Kyung-soo, chairman of the KCTU, said, "Korean society is adrift without direction due to political uncertainty and social turmoil," adding, "The ConCourt's delay in delivering the dismissal ruling is intensifying the confusion."
This general strike will be carried out with the scale and scope of the strike determined through internal discussions among the industrial unions.
