Hiring 160 People Without Restrictions on Career or Major
HD Hyundai Shipbuilding's three companies (HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Mipo, and HD Hyundai Samho) announced on the 20th that they will conduct open recruitment for production technology positions.
This open recruitment breaks away from the previous method of hiring some production technology positions only for in-house technical training graduates and those with over two years of experience at partner companies, removing restrictions on career background and major.
A company official stated, "This is to respond to the increase in shipbuilding volume due to the recovery of the shipbuilding market and to nurture production technology personnel who play a key role in shipbuilding." He added, "Since these companies are located in Ulsan Metropolitan City and the Jeolla region, this open recruitment is expected to serve as a catalyst for creating local jobs."
The three HD Hyundai shipbuilding companies plan to start accepting applications on the 31st, followed by personality tests and interviews, with the final successful candidates announced in July. The recruitment scale is expected to be up to 160 people, who will undergo up to one year of internship, including technical training, and then be assigned to positions on-site that match their aptitude and skills.
During the internship period, HD Hyundai will provide an onboarding program that includes introductory education by in-house expert instructors, specialized technical training by job type, and mentoring with senior employees.
