Hongseong County Draws Attention with Various Support Measures for Pregnant Employees Hongseon County Office

Hongseong County in Chungnam is introducing various support initiatives to create a safe and healthy working environment for pregnant employees and to encourage childbirth.


On the 20th, Hongseong County announced that this year, it will provide chairs exclusively for pregnant employees based on a survey of their needs, and will also support necessary considerate items.


Previously, the county has been expanding a culture of consideration for pregnant employees by allowing them to use up to two hours per day for rest or medical appointments as maternity protection time during pregnancy, granting customized welfare points for childbirth congratulations and postpartum care, and exempting them from night shifts and emergency duties.


The exclusive chairs for pregnant employees are designed with comfortable backrests and lumbar support, allowing pregnant staff to work healthily and comfortably even during long hours.


The considerate items for pregnant employees, such as electromagnetic wave-blocking blankets, wrist supports, and stretch mark cream, will be provided in various forms based on the survey of needs.


The county plans to continue discovering and supporting various necessary initiatives so that pregnant employees can work in a healthy and comfortable environment before childbirth.


Hongseong County Governor Lee Yongrok said, "A happy life for employees begins in the workplace," and added, "We will actively reflect the opinions of pregnant employees to expand practical benefits and generously support childbirth encouragement."
