Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Munsan Health Center and Senior Welfare Complex Center in Paju
Aiming to Improve Health Care and Leisure Services for Seniors in the Munsan Area

Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 20th that the groundbreaking ceremony for the ‘Munsan Health Center and Senior Welfare Complex Center’ was held on the 19th.

The Munsan Health Center and Senior Welfare Complex Center is a space created to provide health care services to citizens in the Munsan area and to support healthy leisure and cultural activities for seniors, with a total project cost of 22.5 billion KRW.


The complex center will be built on the site where the old Munsan Health Center building was located, with a total floor area of 4,158.36㎡, consisting of one basement floor and three above-ground floors.


The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by about 150 people, including local residents, Paju Mayor Kim Kyung-il, National Assembly member Park Jung, Provincial Assembly members Lee Han-guk and Ahn Myung-gyu, and Paju City Council members Choi Yu-gak and Son Hyung-bae.


The Munsan Health Center building will house key medical facilities such as examination rooms, an obstetrics and gynecology clinic, mental health counseling, a clinical laboratory, and a radiology room. The Senior Welfare Center building will be equipped with facilities for seniors’ health welfare and leisure programs, including an auditorium, dining hall, health promotion room, billiards room, and computer education room.


Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju said, “Once the complex center is built, we expect the health care services in Paju City to improve and seniors to enjoy healthier leisure activities. We will strive to prevent accidents and manage quality to ensure the project proceeds smoothly.”
