[Image Diary] Nothing Beats a Candlelight During a Power Outage

There are several items that used to be daily necessities but have become rarely used and almost obsolete in modern times. Candles are one of them. Although they serve little purpose as lighting fixtures now that electric lighting is commonplace, nothing beats them during sudden power outages. When a power outage occurred at a traditional market in Seoul, candles appeared. Although it was only for a few minutes until the electricity was restored, the ambiance created by the candlelight was special.
