AWE is Asia's largest home appliance expo, with about 1,000 companies participating and over 360,000 visitors attending. It is considered one of the world's top three home appliance and electronics exhibitions alongside the US CES and Germany's IFA.

Samsung Electronics has prepared an exhibition space of approximately 1,512㎡ at the New International Expo Center and plans to captivate visitors with various Bespoke AI home appliances and connected scenarios that realize the vision of 'AI for All.'

Bespoke AI home appliances provide enhanced AI functions based on Samsung Electronics' security solution 'Knox,' device connection experience platform 'SmartThings,' and AI voice assistant 'Bixby.' The Bespoke AI home appliances exhibited this time feature screens that enhance the usability of AI functions, such as the new Bespoke AI Hybrid refrigerator equipped with a 9-inch screen and the Bespoke AI Combo washer-dryer equipped with a 7-inch screen.

The Bespoke AI Hybrid refrigerator with a 9-inch screen is equipped with various functions, including 'AI Vision Inside,' which automatically recognizes the inflow and outflow of ingredients, and 'AI Hybrid Cooling,' which uses two cooling methods?compressor and Peltier elements?to improve energy efficiency. The 'Auto Open Door' function, which opens the door with a light touch or Bixby voice command, enhances usability. Considering the eating habits of Chinese consumers who enjoy various ingredients, it also includes a 'Dry-Humid Box' for storing tea leaves and grains at low humidity and a 'Moisture Box' for keeping vegetables and fruits fresh at high humidity. The top of the refrigerator is equipped with a 'UV Clean Deodorizer' that eliminates food odors inside the refrigerator and sterilizes attached bacteria with UV LED, allowing ingredients to be stored more hygienically.

The Bespoke AI Hybrid refrigerator applies energy grade 1 for Chinese consumers who prioritize energy efficiency. The SmartThings 'AI Saving Mode' can reduce energy consumption by up to 10%. Samsung Electronics also introduces the China-specific 'Kitchen Fit Max' refrigerator, which features a slim design with a depth of 600mm to fit the average kitchen cabinet size in China while maximizing capacity to 501L.

The Bespoke AI Combo washer-dryer and Bespoke washing machine equipped with a 7-inch screen feature 'AI Customized Washing,' which senses the weight and dirtiness of laundry to automatically select the optimal course, and 'AI Bubble,' which delicately and intelligently washes with the perfect amount of bubbles for the laundry. The Bespoke washing machine applies 'Space Max' technology to minimize the washing machine width to 550mm while achieving a 12kg capacity. Additionally, the powerful 'Bespoke AirDresser,' which quickly deodorizes and sterilizes clothes with strong wind and steam, and the 'Bespoke AI Steam,' which autonomously performs floor and mop cleaning, were also exhibited.

Hwang Tae-hwan, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' DA Division, said, "Bespoke AI home appliances equipped with various AI functions and screens provide consumers with differentiated AI experiences," adding, "We will continue to expand the AI Home experience that brings innovation to consumers' daily lives in the global market."

LG Electronics has prepared a 1,104㎡ exhibition hall under the theme 'LG Electronics' AI for Various Lifestyles' at this year's AWE to showcase AI home solutions. It offers customized AI home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies considering the diverse lifestyles of Asian customers and introduces 'AI CoreTech,' which adds AI to core component technologies.

LG Electronics implemented an empathy intelligence-based AI home, which will officially begin this year, at this exhibition. At the highlight zone installed at the booth entrance, it demonstrates how the AI home hub 'LG ThinQ On' and sensors installed throughout the house detect customers' speech, actions, and environment, communicate with customers, and control connected home appliances and IoT devices. Using the AI home platform LG ThinQ, it also clearly exhibits the future of AI home with 'ThinQ Up,' which creates personalized home appliances, and 'ThinQ Care,' which easily checks and manages product status such as malfunctions or abnormalities, captivating visitors.

A space explaining AI CoreTech in an easy-to-understand way was also prepared. AI CoreTech applies AI to LG Electronics' decades of core component technologies such as motors and compressors to enhance both product performance and energy efficiency.

Visitors can see AI CoreTech applied to various home appliances, including washing machines equipped with AI DD motors that analyze laundry weight and fabric to automatically adjust washing intensity; air conditioners where AI analyzes the space to set the optimal temperature without customers adjusting wind strength or direction; refrigerators where AI identifies usage patterns such as door opening times and internal inspection times to adjust temperature strength and keep ingredients fresh; and ovens where AI analyzes ingredients with internal cameras to recommend customized recipes.

Visitors can also experience the 'Multi AI' function, which provides both on-device and cloud-based AI solutions, and the AI PC Gram equipped with Intel's next-generation processor, the 'Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2.' Additionally, LG Electronics has prepared high-efficiency premium products reflecting the trends of high inflation and low carbon emissions, along with space-specific solutions based on these products.

Ryu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics' HS Business Division, said, "We will strengthen our position as a global premium home appliance brand by introducing LG Electronics' innovative products and technologies to Asian customers."
