Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization have attracted attention by offering free coverage through the country's first-ever 'Foreign Traveler Safety Insurance' since the 12th, aimed at alleviating the anxiety of foreign visitors traveling within Korea due to the domestic political situation.
This safety insurance is automatically applied to foreigners traveling in Gyeonggi Province (excluding long-term residents in Korea) without any separate application process. Benefits can be claimed upon submission of supporting documents.
The coverage items include ▲injury treatment costs (up to 1 million KRW per person) ▲disaster diagnosis consolation money (excluding infectious diseases, up to 300,000 KRW per person) ▲injury diagnosis consolation money (excluding traffic accidents, up to 100,000 KRW per person), among others.
To make it easy for foreigners to use the safety insurance, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization also operate the 'Gyeonggi Province Travel Foreigners Safety Insurance Call Center (02-2078-4540)', which provides multilingual support in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

We will actively promote it online and offline to domestic and international travel industries and potential foreign visitors, striving to build the Gyeonggi safe travel brand image and to develop various products and expand tourist attraction."
