On the 20th, Gyeonggi-do Corporation announced that it signed a "Overseas Market Support Business Agreement" with Jilin Longmart Commercial Group Co., Ltd. at the Gyeonggi Startup Campus in Seongnam City on the 19th. The signing ceremony was attended by about 10 people, including Lee Jae-jun, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Corporation, Jang Hak-bin, Vice Mayor of Yanji City, and Park Cheol-nam, Chairman of Longmart Group.

Through this business agreement, Gyeonggi-do Corporation will sell excellent products from local SMEs through Longmart Group's retail channels. Both parties plan to jointly operate an exhibition hall for Gyeonggi-do's excellent products within Longmart stores and promote them via social networking services (SNS), while also exploring ways to sell outstanding products from Yanji City in the domestic market. Additionally, an overseas delegation from Yanji City will visit Korea to hold purchase consultation meetings with Gyeonggi-do SMEs.

Longmart is a retail franchise specializing in Korean products, operating over 400 stores including Longmart supermarkets and MaeilLong convenience stores, and is ranked among the top 100 retail companies in China.

Jang Hak-bin, Vice Mayor of Yanji City, said, "I understand that Gyeonggi-do Corporation has rich experience in promoting SME development and enhancing regional economic competitiveness," adding, "Since the cooperation between Gyeonggi-do and Yanji City is highly compatible and promising, I hope this communication will lead to significant progress in various areas."

Park Cheol-nam, Chairman of Longmart Group, also stated, "Through today's agreement ceremony, we will strengthen cooperation between the two companies and do our best to achieve the best results."

Lee Jae-jun, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Corporation, said, "In the current situation where global economic recession, supply chain changes, and shifts in consumer trends make it increasingly difficult for SMEs to secure stable sales channels, this occasion will serve as an important starting point for continuous cooperation and mutual growth between the two regions, beyond a simple agreement."
