The agreement was conducted in writing after several consultations between the institutions. The main contents of the agreement include ▲education for nurturing global future talents (Gyeonggi Shared Schools, Neulbom Schools) ▲linkage with institutions under the Provincial Office of Education ▲cooperation in teacher training using the ‘National Institute for International Education Global Competency Support Center’.
As the first educational cooperation project, the two institutions will operate the ‘National Institute for International Education Linked Global Leadership Shared School,’ a future convergence program of Gyeonggi Shared Schools.
It is prepared to provide 16 weeks of online classes to middle school students in the province with diverse backgrounds and to enable them to experience English learning and world cultures through ‘blended learning’ combining online and offline education, including a Jeju residential camp scheduled for October this year.
Superintendent Lim Tae-hee said, “This agreement between the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and the National Institute for International Education for nurturing international future talents will serve as an opportunity to practically cultivate students’ global competencies beyond the boundaries of institutions and regions.”
He added, “Let us activate exchanges and cooperation for nurturing global future talents by establishing an organic mutual business cooperation system. The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will closely cooperate with the National Institute for International Education to enhance the global competencies necessary for future generations.”
