Rotary Club Donates Liriope Plants Worth 1 Million Won
Volunteer Planting Activities Planned for Arbor Day at Sanjeong Park

According to Gwangsan-gu on the 19th, the Wolgok 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center has been creating a Liriope flower hill in the 11,000-pyeong park since last year, aiming to establish the "Sanjeong Park Liriope Hill Created by Citizen Participation." Since March of last year, about 400 people, including local community organization members and foreign residents, have participated and planted Liriope in 7,000 pyeong.
This year, planting is underway in the remaining 4,000-pyeong section. On this day, nine clubs from District 9 of Rotary International District 3710 donated Liriope plants worth 1 million won through the Together Gwangsan Sharing Culture Foundation, a social welfare corporation. The Rotary Club also plans to carry out volunteer planting activities at Sanjeong Park on the upcoming Arbor Day.
Shin Gwangsik, representative of District 9 of Rotary International District 3710, said, "I hope Sanjeong Park will be reborn as a flower hill dyed purple with Liriope." Lee Jaeun, head of Wolgok 2-dong, added, "With the continued participation of residents and organizations, Sanjeong Park will become a landmark of Wolgok 2-dong."
