A rally opposing the impeachment of President Yoon Sukyeol will be held in Gwangju. The Gwangju City Chapter of the People Power Party and conservative civic groups have announced a large-scale general rally.

The Gwangju City Chapter of the People Power Party and the Gwangju Conservative Party Civic Society Joint Conference announced on the 19th that they will hold the "Gwangju and Jeonnam Patriotic Citizens' General Rally" at Gwangju Antioch Church on the 23rd. Seventeen civic organizations are participating in the joint conference.

With the impeachment trial verdict imminent, they stated that they plan to gather public opinion in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions by holding a general rally to prevent the president's impeachment.

The joint conference will officially announce the event plans at a press conference on the 20th, one day before the rally. On the day of the rally, history lecturer Jeon Hangil and People Power Party lawmaker Yoon Sanghyun will speak. The joint conference expects up to 3,000 people to participate in the rally.
