The mobile service was established to enable elderly drivers aged 75 and older to complete the entire process of renewing their driver's licenses in a one-stop manner, instead of the previous procedure which required dementia and physical examinations at a public health center or hospital followed by a visit to the Jeonbuk Driver's License Test Center.

Through this service, elderly drivers can reduce the inconvenience, cost, and time of having to visit the Jeonbuk Driver's License Test Center located in Jeonju in person.

About 50 elderly drivers aged 75 and older from Jangsu County who are due for renewal this year attended the event. Customized consulting was provided, including dementia screening through the Jangsu County Dementia Safety Center, pedestrian traffic safety education such as traffic regulations, and cognitive function tests through cognitive perception experiences, which received a positive response.

An official from the Jeonbuk Driver's License Test Center stated, "The number of people in North Jeolla Province eligible for aptitude tests (renewals) this year has increased by 14.4% compared to last year, reaching about 13,000," and added, "We expect that operating the mobile driver's license service will also contribute to preventing traffic accidents involving elderly drivers."

County Governor Choi Hunsik said, "Until now, seniors had to visit the license test center in person, which was inconvenient, but I am pleased that we can provide more convenient services to residents through the operation of this mobile service. We will continue to do our best to provide even better administrative services to our residents in the future."
