This measure was prepared to help stabilize the lives of residents affected in Idong-myeon, which was designated as a special disaster area due to the Air Force fighter jet bombing accident that caused human and material damage.

The reduction applies to water and sewage users in Idong-myeon who have completed damage registration in the National Disaster Management System (NDMS) due to the social disaster. Fifty percent of the usage fees for three months, excluding the basic fees according to the water meter size, will be reduced.

Once the damage registration is completed, the reduction details will be automatically reflected on the bill without any separate application process.

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “I hope this measure will help the affected residents recover their daily lives even a little. We will continue to do our best at the city level for a swift return to normalcy.”
