Yongin City Hosts 'Yongin 59-Second Youth Short-Form Film Festival'

Total Prize Money of 4 Million KRW... Submissions Open Until May 30
"Short-Form Content Production Course Using AI" Applications Also Accepted from the 25th

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is calling for video submissions from young people aged 18 to 39 to participate in the "Yongin 59-Second Youth Short-Form Film Festival," which will be held from next month 1st to May 30th.

Yongin City Hosts 'Yongin 59-Second Youth Short-Form Film Festival'

The theme of this film festival, with a total prize of 4 million KRW, is "Youth Policies That Change My [ ]." Anyone in the specified age group can apply regardless of their region. Participants should express their experiences with policies in their daily lives through videos lasting 29 to 59 seconds.


Applicants must post a certification post of their participation in the contest on their social networking service (SNS) with the required hashtags (#Yongin59SecondYouthShortFormFilmFestival #YonginCityYoutheRang), then submit the link along with the application form online. Detailed information can be found on the Yongin Youth Portal "Youth eRang."


The city will conduct a first round of judging to select 16 works, followed by a second round including audience voting to choose the final 4 works. Winners will be announced at the "Yongin 59-Second Youth Short-Form Film Festival" held in September. The grand prize winner will receive 2 million KRW, the excellence award 1 million KRW, and the encouragement award 500,000 KRW.


Meanwhile, to strengthen citizens' digital capabilities, the city will recruit participants on a first-come, first-served basis starting from the 25th for the "Short-Form Content Production Course Using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)."


Organized by the Yongin Lifelong Learning Center (Suji), this course includes ▲content story planning ▲program usage and video editing ▲adding subtitles and effects, sound utilization ▲video production practice ▲and a screening of the works. The course will be held once a week from the 1st to the 29th of next month in the lecture rooms of the Yongin Lifelong Learning Center.


Those interested can apply through the Yongin Lifelong Learning Center website. The number of participants is limited to 20. The course is free of charge and open to all Yongin citizens.
