Baekseok University announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement with Taean County in Chungnam Province to promote marine tourism.
The agreement was signed the previous day in the small conference room at Taean County Office, with County Governor Ga Sero and Vice President Kang Inhan, who oversees chaplaincy affairs, in attendance.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on branding using marine healing and leisure tourism resources, developing specialized content, nurturing resident professional talent, linking specialized tourism projects such as those on Gaeuido and Deungseom, and conducting other research initiatives.
Governor Ga Sero stated, "With this agreement, I expect the tourism industry to take a step forward by utilizing the marine resources Taean possesses," adding, "We will do our best to foster local talent and enhance the brand value of Taean in cooperation with Baekseok University."
Vice President Kang Inhan also said, "I am pleased to collaborate on researching new technologies in the marine tourism sector and contributing to regional development," and added, "We will actively utilize Baekseok University's research capabilities to achieve tangible results."
