The Most Preferred Model Is the Top Trim 2WD
Small Business Owners and Sole Proprietors Account for Over Half
KG Mobility (hereinafter KGM) announced on the 19th that its electric pickup 'Musso EV' surpassed 3,200 cumulative contracts within two weeks of its launch.
Analysis of Musso EV contract holders by KGM revealed that the most preferred model was the Black Edge front-wheel drive (2WD).
The top trim, 'Black Edge,' accounted for the highest selection rate at 55%, while the entry-level MX trim made up 45%. The all-wheel drive (AWD) model had a selection rate of about 40%, reflecting demand considering its powerful performance and driving capabilities across various road conditions.
By contract type, individuals accounted for 45%, and small business owners and sole proprietors made up 55%. A KGM official stated, "The spacious deck space capable of carrying cargo and leisure equipment, as well as high economic efficiency from purchase to usage stages, has resonated with a diverse customer base that values practicality."
By age group, those in their 50s, who have strong purchasing power, represented the highest proportion at 38.3%, and by gender, males overwhelmingly accounted for 88.6%. Exterior color preferences were Grand White (54%), Space Black (23%), Blazing Gold (9%), Marble Gray (7%), and Amazonia Green (5%) in that order.
Meanwhile, the online-exclusive model ‘Musso EV Special Edition (SE)’ sold out within 1 hour and 30 minutes of its release. Customers who contracted for this model were predominantly males with an average age of 44.7 years, and the AWD selection rate was about 60%.
A KGM official said, "The electric pickup Musso EV was created to build a comprehensive electric vehicle lineup that meets the diverse demands of customers," adding, "We expect it to break the electric vehicle chasm and continue to achieve successful market settlement."
