Gwangju Dong-gu (District Mayor Lim Taek) announced on the 18th that it will officially launch the "On-site Apartment Management Consultation Center" starting next month to resolve residents' inconveniences caused by apartment management and to establish an efficient management system.

The "On-site Apartment Management Consultation Center" is a program in which experts visit apartment complexes struggling with management issues and provide tailored consultations.

Recently, as the number of apartment complexes has increased, various civil complaints such as conflicts between management entities and residents, as well as internal disputes within residents' representative councils, have surged. In response, Dong-gu has prepared this program to effectively resolve apartment management issues through professional consultation and to provide practical support by operating customized consultation and education programs for prevention.

Dong-gu plans to prioritize the program for newly built apartments, complexes with recurring conflicts, small-scale apartment complexes, aging complexes, and areas where vulnerable groups reside, focusing on practical problem-solving.

The consultation center will consist of a total of six experts: one dedicated public official in charge of apartment management, two apartment management specialists, one accountant, and two lawyers, who will provide in-depth consultations on a variety of conflicts and complaints experienced by residents.

In addition, the center will offer practical consultations on topics such as apartment management regulations, long-term repair plans, and accounting standards, as well as customized solutions for everyday conflicts such as guidelines for selecting management companies and contractors, the composition and operation of residents' representative councils, parking management, and personnel issues involving security and cleaning staff.

The consultation center will operate with regular consultations once a month and provide on-demand consultations in case of urgent complaints. Through regular consultations, the center will conduct demand surveys for each apartment complex to coordinate schedules and content in advance, offering tailored support to residents. For on-demand consultations, on-site visits and expert advice will be provided in case of urgent issues.

Additionally, practical training on apartment management will be provided for residents' representative councils, management office directors, and residents, helping them enhance their practical skills in areas such as management regulations, long-term repair plans, and accounting standards.

Lim Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, stated, "Apartment management issues are directly related to residents' quality of life, so active consultation and support are essential," adding, "Through the operation of this consultation center, we expect conflicts within apartment complexes to decrease and a more transparent and efficient management system to take root."
