Communication with Local Key Industry Manufacturing SMEs
through the 'Visiting SBC' Program

The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 18th that it promoted the 'Visiting SBC' program at the Noksan National Industrial Complex in Gangseo-gu, Busan. This is a communication program connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on-site with policies, and this visit was arranged to support the strengthening of competitiveness of companies engaged in key industries in the Busan area and to directly hear their on-site opinions.

On the day, discussions were held on ▲2025 support projects including policy funds ▲strategies to enhance the competitiveness of companies engaged in local key industries ▲measures for balanced regional development. Participating companies suggested that tailored support such as business transformation consulting and vouchers are needed to leap from traditional manufacturing to smart and digital manufacturing, along with policy support centered on the field through cooperation with government-affiliated organizations including the Busan Metropolitan City.

SBC plans to actively reflect the voices from the field of companies in policy support projects and provide a foundation to proactively respond to the eco-friendly and smart paradigm changes of companies engaged in local key industries through various institutional projects such as export marketing, workforce training, and regional innovation.

Afterwards, Director Kang Seok-jin visited the workplaces of Samdeok Tongsang and Sejin Valve Industry to continue on-site communication. Samdeok Tongsang, which has been in business for 28 years this year, is a manufacturer of sneakers and hiking boots that has entered the Southeast Asian markets including Vietnam, and conveyed the urgent need for policy support due to high tariffs and export regulations promoted by the Trump administration in the United States.

Also, Sejin Valve Industry, established in 1999, produces core parts of the shipbuilding and marine industry such as butterfly valves and check valves for ships, contributing to securing competitiveness in the next-generation marine mobility industry.

Director Kang Seok-jin of SBC said, “SBC will play a pivotal role in enhancing regional balanced development and revitalizing the national economy by securing competitiveness through manufacturing innovation of companies engaged in local key industries,” and “We will continue to strengthen communication with SME sites through the Visiting SBC program and lead innovative growth of small and medium ventures and regional economic revitalization with a proactive attitude.”
