Song Geunhyun, Director of Digital Education Planning at the Ministry of Education, was appointed as Deputy Superintendent of the Gyeongnam Office of Education on the 17th.

Deputy Superintendent Song began his duties immediately after greeting staff at the Monday meeting, without a separate inauguration ceremony.

He graduated from the Department of Education at Korea University and earned a master's degree in Human Resource Development (HRD) from Indiana State University in the United States.

After passing the civil service exam in 2000, he began his public service career and has served as Deputy Director of the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles (LA), Administrative Officer at the Office of the President's Education Secretary, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Education, Director of University Admissions Policy, and Director of Higher Education Policy.

After being promoted to Senior Executive Service in 2023, he served as Director of Digital Education Planning and Director of Global Education Planning at the Ministry of Education.

Deputy Superintendent Song stated, "It is an honor to work at the Gyeongnam Office of Education, which is leading the future society and moving toward a new century," and added, "I will do my best to ensure that our children grow up in a safe and happy educational environment."
