Bright Eye 21 Introduces State-of-the-Art VisuMax 800... Begins SMILE LASIK Procedures

Ultra-precise Scanning Technology Enables Accurate Laser Irradiation
Newly Equipped with CentraLign and OcuLign Functions

Bright Eye 21 Introduces State-of-the-Art VisuMax 800... Begins SMILE LASIK Procedures SmilePro Equipment Bijumax800.

Bright Eye 21 Hospital (Chief Director Kim Juyeop) announced on the 17th that it has recently introduced the VISUMAX 800 device from the German optical company ZEISS and will implement the '2025 SMILE PRO'.

SMILE PRO is the latest vision correction procedure using the new laser correction device VISUMAX 800. The VISUMAX 800 is an upgraded version of the VISUMAX 500, which is used for SMILE LASIK, and features state-of-the-art technology that significantly enhances its performance and functions. This device has been approved by both the US FDA and the Korean KFDA, demonstrating its safety and excellence.

SMILE PRO utilizes ultra-precise scanning technology, enabling fast and accurate laser irradiation. While the laser irradiation time for conventional SMILE LASIK is about 25 seconds, SMILE PRO reduces the procedure time to around 10 seconds, shortening it by more than half. The shorter surgery time lowers the risk of infection and speeds up recovery. In addition, it minimizes suction loss, where the eye fixation is lost during surgery, making the procedure more effective and safer.

Notably, SMILE PRO is newly equipped with CentraLign, which corrects the central axis of the eye, and OcuLign, which corrects the astigmatism axis?features not available in previous models. CentraLign detects eye movements in real time and automatically centers the eye, further improving surgical accuracy. OcuLign automatically corrects the astigmatism axis based on the patient’s examination data, reducing axis errors and providing clearer, higher-quality vision for patients with astigmatism.

Chief Director Kim Juyeop stated, “With the introduction of SMILE PRO, we can now provide safer and more precise vision correction procedures for patients with high myopia, high astigmatism, and hyperopia, which were previously difficult to treat. We will continue to actively introduce the latest technologies and equipment to deliver the best possible treatment outcomes for our patients.”
