Both companies plan to strengthen mutual cooperation related to ESG, including ▲conducting joint campaigns to spread eco-friendly delivery culture ▲expanding sales channels and operational support for small business owners ▲supporting the establishment of a safety culture for delivery riders.

IBK Investment & Securities plans to actively participate in greenhouse gas emission reduction projects related to electric two-wheelers (EVs).

Earlier, in March last year, Woowa Brothers announced a "Sustainable Management Commitment" that includes creating an eco-friendly delivery culture together with various stakeholders, such as transitioning to eco-friendly delivery methods.

They will also join forces to expand ESG finance by promoting win-win growth with riders and supporting sales channels for small business owners. They plan to collaborate on discovering, nurturing, and investing in promising startups to spread eco-friendly delivery culture.

Woowa Brothers, a leading domestic delivery platform company, has been striving for win-win cooperation with small business owners and riders through partnerships with numerous institutions. They have also conducted various collaborations with financial institutions, such as loan support programs for traditional market merchants.

Since the appointment of CEO Seo Jeong-hak, IBK Investment & Securities has been actively engaging in ESG management activities based on its ESG strategic goal of being a "financial investment company that pursues sustainable future innovation growth."

In particular, last year, the company completed the establishment of systematic ESG management governance by forming an "ESG Committee" under the board of directors and creating an "ESG Management Department." It has also signed MOUs focused on ESG projects with various organizations and groups, including participation in greenhouse gas reduction projects led by the Ministry of Environment, pioneering entry into the European maritime carbon finance market, and joining the hydrogen bus conversion project in Chungcheongnam-do, thereby activating synergies.

In terms of social contribution, IBK Investment & Securities continues various ESG activities such as donations and volunteer work to provide tangible benefits that all social classes can feel.

An IBK Investment & Securities official said, "Through the business agreement with Woowa Brothers, as the only securities company affiliated with a national policy bank in Korea, we will strengthen sustainable ESG management to contribute to national carbon neutrality and create social value."
