Yeungnam University (President Choi Oechul) selected Chae Samsu, CEO of Youngjin Mulsan Co., Ltd., as a member of 'Chunma Honors' on the 14th and presented him with a certificate of recognition. 'Chunma Honors' is a donor appreciation program established by Yeungnam University in 2020 to honor major donors who have contributed to the development of the university and to promote a new culture of giving.
CEO Chae Samsu, an alumnus of the Department of Food Processing (class of '82) at Yeungnam University, has consistently donated to advance the food industry and nurture future generations. Driven by deep affection for his alma mater and a sense of social responsibility, he began by donating a scholarship fund to the Department of Food Processing in 2008 and has since contributed a total of 100 million KRW in development funds. Through these efforts, he has helped improve the university's educational environment and expand student support. In particular, he has continued to donate scholarships so that his juniors can focus on their studies in a better environment, providing active and generous support.

At the award ceremony, CEO Chae Samsu said, "I believe what I learned at my alma mater made me who I am today. I only wanted to repay that kindness with a small gesture, but I am grateful to be honored as a member of 'Chunma Honors,'" adding, "I will continue to show interest and support for the growth of my alma mater and juniors in the future."
Choi Oechul, President of Yeungnam University, expressed his gratitude, saying, "The sharing and dedication shown by CEO Chae Samsu serve as a great example not only for the development of Yeungnam University but also for our juniors," and added, "The university will do its utmost to further strengthen its educational and research capabilities and nurture talented individuals who will contribute to the development of Korea and the shared prosperity of the global community in return for your generosity."
Yeungnam University grants 'Chunma Honors' membership to individuals and organizations (groups) who have donated more than 100 million KRW in development funds and have made significant contributions to the university's advancement, as well as those with high social recognition and influence. Currently, more than 100 individuals and organizations have been selected as members, and Yeungnam University holds a certificate presentation ceremony for each new member. The university operates a donor appreciation program for Chunma Honors members, presenting certificates and inviting them as special guests to major university events.
