HDC Hyundai Development Company Selected as Construction Contractor for Wonju Dangjeju Apartment Reconstruction

'Wonju I-Park' to Feature Up to 29 Floors and 1,560 Households

HDC Hyundai Development Company secured the Wonju Dandae Jugong Apartment reconstruction project worth 436.9 billion KRW, marking its first successful order in the maintenance business.

HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on the 17th that it was selected as the construction company with 386 votes in favor (87.7%) out of 440 attending union members at the contractor selection general meeting of the Dandae Jugong Apartment reconstruction union held on the 15th.


The Wonju Dandae Jugong Apartment is located in the area of 792 Dandae-dong, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, and after reconstruction, it will be built into a complex of 15 buildings with a total of 1,560 households, ranging from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 29 floors above ground. The site area is approximately 85,410㎡, and the total floor area is about 236,000㎡.


HDC Hyundai Development Company confirmed the new complex name of Dandae Jugong Apartment as "Wonju I-Park." The unique exterior design was inspired by the origin of Dandae-dong, where "the sand and water form a valley on the peak mixed with 'Dan (壇)', making the riverbed appear red." The motifs are the peak, valley, sand, and water.


Within the Wonju I-Park complex, a large central lawn plaza, water features, a 3.31 km walking trail, and various themed gardens will be showcased, reflecting the four seasons of Chiaksan Mountain with elegant landscaping. Through differentiated technologies such as an advanced parking system and eco-friendly energy systems, it plans to provide the best residential environment in Wonju.


The project site is conveniently located near the 2nd Yeongdong Expressway and Jungang Expressway, facilitating easy access to adjacent areas. It is easy to use Manjong Station on the Gyeonggang Line and is close to Wonju General Bus Terminal, offering excellent transportation networks. It is located right next to Bokwon Elementary School and Korea YMCA Wonju High School, and within about 1 km radius are Ilsan Elementary School, Jungang Elementary School, Pyeongwon Elementary School, Wonju Girls' Middle School, Pyeongwon Middle School, and Hakseong Middle School. The nearby Musil-dong academy district also provides excellent educational infrastructure.


There are numerous parks including Dandae Park, Saemaeul Neighborhood Park, Rose Park, Wonju Ilsan Neighborhood Park, and Jungang Neighborhood Park, as well as nearby facilities such as Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, Wonju Sports Complex, AK Plaza, Wonju Hanji Theme Park, Wonju City Hall, Chuncheon District Prosecutor’s Office Wonju Branch, and Chuncheon District Court Wonju Support, enhancing living convenience.


HDC Hyundai Development Company achieved orders worth 1.33 trillion KRW in urban maintenance projects last year. This year, starting with this first order, it plans to leverage its competitiveness in the urban maintenance sector to achieve remarkable results.
