Having expanded overseas by launching the English version of the global app in 2023, Idus has added Japanese language support and yen payment services to the existing global app, and has begun a full-scale strategy to target the Japanese market.
In addition, to build an app service environment tailored for the Japanese market, Idus collaborated with professional translation companies and conducted localization work utilizing large language models (LLM). Furthermore, it supports overseas shipping agency services for domestic creators and customer service responses.
Kim Donghwan, CEO of Backpacker, stated, "Japan's e-commerce market is the fourth largest in the world, with a scale of approximately 210 trillion won, and it has a consumer culture that values handmade crafts, making it an important base for Idus's global expansion." He added, "We will continue to prepare various support measures to increase global sales and accelerate growth for handmade creators."
