From Shibuya to Harajuku... Mom's Touch Opens Largest Store in Japan's Prime Commercial Districts

'Harajuku Mom's Touch' to Open in the First Half of the Year
Largest Store Among All Locations, Domestic and International
Accelerating Local Franchise Expansion

Mom's Touch announced on the 17th that it plans to open 'Harajuku Mom's Touch' in the prime commercial area of Harajuku, Tokyo, by the first half of this year. Following the directly operated first store 'Shibuya Mom's Touch,' which opened in April last year, this will be the second directly operated store locally and is expected to be the largest among all Mom's Touch stores domestically and internationally.

The second directly operated store, Harajuku Mom's Touch, will be a large-scale store with 550㎡ (166 pyeong) and about 300 seats, located on Takeshita Street, the busiest shopping district near Harajuku Station. Takeshita Street is considered one of the trendiest areas in Harajuku, Tokyo, attracting local MZ generation and foreign tourists, resulting in a high population flow concentration.

At Harajuku Mom's Touch, the main offerings will include chicken burgers such as the 'Ssaiburger' and boneless chicken like the 'Big Ssaisonsal.' The 'Mom's Pizza,' first introduced at Shibuya Mom's Touch in February, will be operated in a shop-in-shop format, selling items like 'Ssaipizza' and 'Teriyaki Ssaipizza.'

Mom's Touch plans to accelerate its entry into the Japanese market through the opening of the second store. A Mom's Touch representative stated, "To rapidly expand our business in the Japanese market, we are launching the largest brand store in Harajuku. For local franchising, we are implementing a customized store opening strategy considering the business culture and pace of market entry of Japanese companies, and we are continuously reviewing various business models such as master franchise (MF) and joint ventures (JV). Additionally, we have confirmed the opening of a franchise store early next year at a famous tourist complex shopping mall in Odaiba, Tokyo."

Meanwhile, Mom's Touch Japan corporation, 'Mom's Touch Tokyo,' has signed its first corporate franchise agreement with a local Japanese company in January and has since completed franchise corporate agreement negotiations with multiple companies. They are considering opening additional franchise stores in key commercial areas of Tokyo such as Shinjuku and Ikebukuro within the year, aiming to expand local stores with a goal of 30 franchise agreements by the end of the year.
