While the hunger strike by local council members of the Democratic Party of Korea continues at the May 18 Democracy Square, civic groups have also been holding relay public statements during the week.

Gwangju Emergency Action plans to continue their protest at the May 18 Democracy Square until the day of the Constitutional Court's ruling on President Yoon's impeachment.
