Yangju City Signs Business Agreement to Promote 'Root Industry Specialized Complex Development Project'

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 14th that it signed a "business agreement" for the "designation and support project of the root industry specialized complex" with Yangju Geomjun Fashion Collar Business Cooperative (Chairman Yoo In-jae), Korea Textile Materials Research Institute (Director Moon Cheol-hwan), and Seojeong University (President Yang Young-hee) at the city hall office.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Kang Su-hyun, Chairman Yoo In-jae, Director Moon Cheol-hwan, President Yang Young-hee, and others.

The agreement is being promoted to ensure the sustainable growth and global competitiveness of textile companies within the Geomjun General Industrial Complex, focusing on overcoming the structural limitations of the industrial complex and enhancing responsiveness to environmental regulations (greening).

Each institution plans to cooperate in various fields, including ▲building a cooperative network and proposing policies ▲research and development and technical support for industrial innovation ▲improving the manufacturing environment of root companies ▲and operating workforce training and education programs.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, "This agreement will be a new turning point for the Geomjun General Industrial Complex to take a leap forward," adding, "We will do our best to ensure the successful promotion of the project through close cooperation with each institution."
