Kim Hyun-gon was inaugurated as the President of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency on the 14th.
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency announced that President Kim Hyun-gon began his first official schedule on the day by holding a video conference with the heads of the overseas Gyeonggi Business Centers (GBC) as part of on-site management, urging support for expanding exports of companies within the province, foregoing an inauguration ceremony.
The Gyeonggi Business Centers serve as export forward bases for Gyeonggi-do, currently operating 19 offices in 14 major export hubs worldwide, including the United States, China, Russia, and India.

President Kim Hyun-gon shared regional export strategies and current status with the 19 GBC heads. In particular, he shared export trends by country and explored ways to expand the global market entry of companies within the province.
President Kim Hyun-gon promised, "We will strengthen the GBC network and prepare various overseas expansion support measures to help the growth of companies in the province. We will continue to prepare support measures reflecting on-site opinions to actively support companies in pioneering overseas markets."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do plans to add six more GBCs this year, including in Dallas, USA. Furthermore, it will expand the scale of the Korea Excellent Products Exhibition (G-FAIR) and strengthen support projects for export consultation meetings and participation in overseas comprehensive exhibitions to pioneer emerging markets such as the Middle East.
