Funeral Ceremony to Be Held on the 16th
The funeral hall for singer Wheesung, who was found dead on the 10th, was set up on the 14th at Samsung Medical Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, attracting fellow musicians and fans.

A banner at the entrance of the funeral hall read, "Artist Wheesung, he will forever be a star in our hearts." In the portrait photo, Wheesung was smiling brightly against a purple background. Singer KCM, with a solemn expression, made his way to the funeral hall. He had planned a joint performance with the deceased on the 15th, but the concert was canceled following Wheesung's passing.
Kim Tae-woo, a member of the group god, broke down in tears facing the portrait of the deceased, moving onlookers with his grief. Wheesung's agency Tazo Entertainment's junior girl group iChillin also paid their respects at the funeral hall.
Singers IU, Naul, Zico, Park Jung-hyun, Jung Joon-il, and groups TWICE and Baby V.O.X sent wreaths to mourn the deceased. The group BTS, along with Big Hit Music CEO Shin Sun-jung, singer Lee Hyun, and Tomorrow X Together, sent condolence wreaths.
Initially, Wheesung's side planned to hold a quiet funeral with only family members attending, but after careful consideration, they decided to hold a memorial time.
The deceased's younger sibling stated in a press release on the 12th, "We believe it is proper to provide a time and place for many who remembered and loved my brother, singer Wheesung, and the person Choi Whee-sung, to mourn and say goodbye, so we have decided to set up the funeral hall, albeit late."

According to the police and the agency, Wheesung was found dead around 6:29 p.m. on the 10th at his home in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. He had a joint performance scheduled with fellow singer KCM on the 15th and a solo concert on the 23rd.
It is known that the fire department and others responded to a report from the deceased's family. So far, no signs of external intrusion or criminal suspicion have been found. On the 12th, the National Forensic Service's autopsy results showed a preliminary opinion that "the cause of death is unknown." Detailed drug test results are expected in two weeks.
He debuted in 2002 with "Andoenayo" and led the R&B wave of the 2000s with hit songs such as "With Me," "Incurable Disease," "I Even Thought About Marriage," and "Insomnia." He also made a name for himself as a lyricist and music producer, writing lyrics for many hit songs from the 2000s to 2010s, including Younha's "Password 486" and Ailee's "Heaven."
The family will hold a memorial service before the funeral on the 16th. The burial site will be Gwangneung Memorial Park.
