Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, ensuring children's safety on the school route of Mapo Elementary School
On the morning of the 14th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, inspected roads, the Mapo-style study cafe ‘Space’, and parks within Mapo-gu through the ‘On-site Mayor’s Office’.
About 30 staff members joined the ‘On-site Mayor’s Office’ that day for detailed on-site inspection and checks.
First, Mayor Park Gang-su examined the school route of Seoul Mapo Elementary School, which has a sloped section, and instructed the relevant departments to prepare countermeasures.
Following a civil complaint, he checked the road near the back gate of Dohwa Woosung Apartment. Mayor Park also inspected a damaged wall caused by a parking accident and emphasized taking measures to prevent secondary accidents.
Next, Mayor Park Gang-su visited ‘Yeomri Space’ on the second floor of Yeomri-dong Community Center, checked desk partitions and lighting, and requested thorough management to ensure that youth can use the space safely.
Finally, he visited Dokmak Small Park, where construction is underway to facilitate easy use by strollers and wheelchairs, to check the progress of the maintenance project.
After completing the ‘On-site Mayor’s Office’, Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I will carefully inspect every corner of the district so that all residents, including children, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities, can live their daily lives without inconvenience,” adding, “Believing that ‘the answer lies on-site,’ I will actively promote the On-site Mayor’s Office going forward.”
