Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, will begin offering free vaccinations for shingles, tetanus, and pertussis at public health centers starting on the 26th.
The eligible recipients for shingles and tetanus vaccinations are recipients of basic living subsidies and those in the lower-income bracket who are 60 years or older (born before December 31, 1965). Those who have already received the vaccination are excluded.
The eligible recipients for the pertussis vaccination are pregnant women (27 to 36 weeks) and their spouses. If the spouse did not receive the vaccination during pregnancy, it can be administered within two weeks after childbirth. However, spouses who have been vaccinated within the past 10 years in the region are excluded.
Vaccinations are available at public health centers and designated medical institutions. For more details, such as vaccine availability, please refer to the city health center's website.
Lee Hyunki, Director of the Public Health Center, stated, "We will do our best to reduce the financial burden and strengthen immunity through free vaccinations so that citizens can enjoy a healthy life."
