Support for Job Stress and Interpersonal Relationships
The Gwangju Office of Education announced on the 14th that it will operate professional psychological counseling services to support the psychological and emotional stability of educational administrative staff. The counseling will be outsourced to professional psychological counseling agencies and will be available from the 17th until the end of the year.
Various services will be provided, including individual counseling, group counseling, on-site psychological counseling, and emergency support for high-risk and crisis cases, through multiple channels such as in-person, phone, video, and email. This year, the number of affiliated counseling agencies has been expanded to 31 to improve accessibility, and the on-site psychological counseling will offer personalized consultations based on one-on-one stress assessments.
Educational administrative staff who wish to receive counseling can apply via in-person, phone, or email. Counseling sessions will be scheduled in consultation with the counselor from Monday to Saturday, with a total of four sessions, each lasting up to 50 minutes.
Last year, a total of 61 counseling sessions were conducted, including 58 individual and 3 group sessions, with 98% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the service.
Superintendent Lee Jungseon stated, "The psychological stability of educational administrative staff leads directly to a healthy educational environment," and added, "We will continue to provide support so that many educational administrative staff can benefit."
